Leadership is an essential quality for any field staff to possess. Whether it's managing a team of employees or leading a group of volunteers, inspirational field staff leadership is the key to success.

 

Good leaders have the ability to motivate their teams and bring out the best in them. They understand their team and can direct their attention and energy in the right direction. They are also able to inspire and encourage others to reach their full potential. 

Leadership is about setting a good example. It’s about leading by example and demonstrating the values and behaviors that you expect from others. Field staff and Leader should be open to new ideas, be flexible, and have the willingness to learn. They should be willing to listen to the opinions and ideas of others and be prepared to take risks.

 

Good field staff leadership is also about communicating effectively. Leaders should be able to articulate their vision and goals clearly and be able to explain their decisions. They should also be able to provide feedback and guidance to their teams and ensure that everyone is on the same page.

 

Inspirational field staff leadership also involves having a positive attitude. Leaders should be positive and optimistic and have a 'can-do' attitude. They should be able to stay focused and motivated and have the confidence to take on challenges and solve difficult problems.

 

Finally, good field staff leadership is about having an open mind. Leaders should be open to new ideas and approaches and be willing to embrace change. They should also be able to recognize the potential of their team and be willing to provide guidance and support.

Digital Transformation in the Era of IoT.

Introduction.

Necessity is a mother of invention.

We have heard and perhaps used this saying but when you have some comfort; you desire to extend it further. Whenever humans shape machines, he strives to improve it to be more beneficial, user-friendly and intelligent to operate. As a result, electronic devices and machines are now turning into an essential part of our lives.

The vision to make machines more intelligent is now reducing human labor to almost nil. The new days of communicating is now going beyond the laptop and smartphones. We can find it in wearable items such as smartwatches, smart rings and Google glasses to smart home systems where your electronic items are smart enough to sense when to react or you can operate it from anywhere in the world on cloud bases commands over the internet.

Internet of Things (IoT) is the trending technology of today’s era, but we never thought of where it came and how it evolved. So let’s have a look to understand the whole transformation of IoT from the beginning.

Transformation of Internet Era.  

In the pre-internet era, landline and analog mobile phones were the entire medium for communication. Pager was introduced as another wireless communication received messages only.  

Once the internet launches, it turns into a medium for information and data sharing via email other chatting medium. digital transformation starts entertainment and infotainment on websites becomes a reality.

Later paradox shifted to the internet of service where various software running over the internet to connect offices on multiple locations and started integrating the data in head office, cloud spaces were offered to users to put their data store on specific locations, people sell their products on their websites.  

Then comes the Era of the Internet of people, it connects us with others on social media, streaming, and broadcasting live videos on YouTube,  Netflix, and other streaming applications. Online gaming with enhanced graphics and much more fun stuff available in your living room you can enjoy on your smartphones, laptop, or TV screens.

In the modern world, the Era of the Internet of Things (IoT) gets started already, electronics items are already available in the market which can be operated from a mobile phone over the internet, IoT assistance are also available such as Siri, Amazon Alexa are also working on voice commands and operate over high-speed internet.

Importance of Family values in our daily life.

As soon as the Human steps in this world, the first individual He comes across is his family members. A mother who has taken great pain to bring him to this world. Then, A father who is always there to care for him. Then comes the siblings.

Family always comes First.

Maybe we are one of the lucky ones who was raised in a happy and secure family with two loving persons (parents). Maybe we weren't  and growing up was tough without the love and support we lived for. Likely, as an adult you want a happy home for your family. Living peacefully in a family isn't always easy, but in God’s restored marriage and families are the most important social unit now and in eternity.
People who have lived through a disaster never say, "All I could think about during the earthquake was my bank account." They almost always say, "All I could think about was my parents, my siblings, my wife and children." It shouldn't require a disaster for us to know this truth. But too often, we let earning money, chasing pleasure, or even the needs of people outside our families divert our attention.

Mother.

In Islam the value of mother is 3 times greater than a father. A man once consulted the Prophet Muhammad about taking part in a military campaign. The Prophet asked the man if his mother was still living. When told that she was alive, the Prophet said: "(Then) stay with her, for Paradise is at her feet." (Al-Tirmidhi)
On another occasion, the Prophet said: "God has forbidden for you to be undutiful to your mothers." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
It should be obvious that our parents deserve our utmost respect and devotion - second only to God. Speaking in the Quran, God says: "Show gratitude to Me and to your parents; to Me is your final Goal." (31:14). In that same verse, God says: "We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him." The fact that God has mentioned parents in the same verse as Himself shows the extent to which we should strive in our efforts to serve the mothers and fathers who sacrificed so much for us. Doing so will help us to become better people.
If someone asks me to describe relation with my mother, I truly can write an entire book on it. My mother is the only person who can feel my pain through my eyes even if I didn't tell her anything. She is my mentor, guide, adviser  friend and sometimes a critic too (If she needs to oppose any of my decision). I actually feel that I am nothing without her prays which she always do for me and what I am today is just because of her prays for me.

“Obey and respect your mother before it is too late”.

Father.

A Father is someone who wants to catch you before you fall but instead picks you up, brushes you off, and lets you try again.

A Father is someone who wants to keep you from making mistakes but instead lets you find your own way, even though his heart breaks in silence when you get hurt.
A Father is someone who holds you when you cry, scolds you when you break the rules, shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail.
Islam teaches kindness and utmost respect for both of one's parents, mother as well as father. They say “if there is paradise is at mother’s feet, father is the door of that paradise”. Usually father didn't tell how to live; he lived, and let us watches him do it. He is the one who teaches you how to walk, how to talk and how to behave with other people. Father is to provide for his family, by working, disciplining and nurturing them.
And if I talk about my father he is the perfect example for me that how much a person should be dedicated towards his job and his family. Although I didn't spend too much time with him due to his hectic schedule, he didn't give us enough time but has given us everything we need before even we asked!!

Brother.

For me, brother is a friend whom you can trust blindly in your good and bad times. But sometimes you need to be careful with them as well ;) especially from the one who searches your loose point to trolling you. : p and don’t forget usually you also do the same with them as well ;). When you or your brother come late after job or dinner with friends, other one mischievously spread bad airs about it and then tease him by asking why you getting late? “You were in office or a date?” ;).

But on other side if other than your family tried to do something wrong with you and your brother got to know about it from any source I tell you the person who done it will actually think that why did he do this and ask mercy for himself.
My elder brother usually shares very casual behavior with me but if he comes to know I have been through with some problem, he is the one who comes to the rescue and guides me what to do and how to do.
Likewise my younger brother is a shy type person for all, sometimes he didn't make us realize if he went through with any problem but the fact what he can’t change is that we come way before him in this world and being a dear one of parents (actually for us also) sometimes he becomes too unpredictable by inform our plans & surprises to them as well.

Sister.

A sister is someone who loves you from the heart, No matter how much you argue you cannot be drawn apart. She is a joy that cannot be taken away, Once she enters your life, she is there to stay.

Seriously It is my personal experience that how affective having sister and how much she makes your life easier, sometime we just think that it is their duty but actually it was true love that she has for brother. She takes care of very tiny needs of us like serving meals, tea, cooking foods what we demand and even washing and ironing our cloths as well. We didn't appreciate her efforts until she left us to other home after getting married.
Respect it also an element what sisters give us unconditionally, but we also keep it in our mind she also expects something with us. She wants love, respect, understanding and some words of appreciation as well. Mark my word she will return you much more than you give her.

In our families we love, serve, teach, learn and even fight from each other. We share our joys and our sorrows. Family ties may bring us difficult challenges, but they also give us strength and some of our greatest happiness. While we cannot choose the conditions of our birth, we can choose each day to make our families stronger and happier. It is possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united eternally.

Spend quality time with your family, trust me it will definitely improve your mood and useful to improve performance at your workplace as well. 

Failure is the Secret of Your Success

You might have read “The King and Spider story” in your childhood. The King Robert Bruce, newly crowned king of Scotland, sat shivering and hungry in a tiny hut on an Irish island in 1306. King Edward I of England, who had decided that he could rule Scotland very well himself had beaten Bruce and his men in six battles and finally driven them out of their own country.

He thought that if there ever was a time to give up then that was it, though he bitterly as he gnawed on a turnip he managed to find that day. His men had been scattered in the latest battle, and his only companion was a small spider, busily at work on her web in a corner of the hut.

He watched as she struggled to attach one of her strands to a wooden rafter. Again and again, a blustery wind would sneak through the cracks of the hut and shake the thread loose. Again and again, she would begin the task of attaching it once more.

Robert Bruce

After trying six times on seventh try she make it happens. Robert Bruce was inspired with her efforts that he returned back to Scotland and began the task of gathering his men. Finally, in 1314, he led his forces against the English at Bannockburn. The Scots were badly outnumbered, but because of their strong determination and cunning strategy they were able to overcome the English & finally succeeded. It was just one passion in mind "If at first you don't succeed, try try again."

In today’s life we have more current examples, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Micheal Dell, Mark Zuckerberg, Nelson Mandela, Imran Khan, Abdul Sattar Edhi and many others.

 We all experience it. Most of us see failure as a negative thing, which makes sense; it doesn't feel good to fail. We all want to succeed and failure feels like a setback to that goal. What we don’t realize is that failure presents an opportunity to learn, grow and succeed.

How to Overcome Your Fear of Failure and Get Results Faster

1. Worst Case Scenario

 

Always ask yourself what is the worst that can happen if you fail.

For example: Whenever I get any task from my manager ,I just think what if I didn’t completed it on given time.

I think of the worst result of not doing this & eventually finish on not getting a good performance appraisal that current year. So what’s the big deal, will get a good one next year.

 This is taking calculated risk.

2. Ask Yourself This Question – Will I Die?

If you don’t die, you have no problem.

Seriously this is one of the best ideas that I ever got. I forgot whom I got this idea from but I would like to thank that person for sharing this idea.

There really isn’t any problem if you won’t die if you fail. If you fail in your business, you won’t die. Yes, you may lose money but you can earn it back. All you need to do is to get up and try again. If you fail to get win the girl you love, it doesn’t mean that you will die from it. It sucks and you may be depressed for a while but you can always try again another time. Life keeps moving forward and you will be stuck in the same place if you allow your fear of failure to stop you from taking any action.

3. Think of Failure as Feedback

There is no failure except in no longer trying. ~Elbert Hubbard

Don’t think about failing at all. Failing is an event and it is a form of feedback. If you fail to convert an opportunity into a reality, it does not mean that you had failed. It simply means that you do are not using the correct triggers (process) to close the deal.

All you need to do is to accept the feedback, learn from it and try again another time. The key is to learn from your feedback and keep trying.

Wasted Talent of Pakistan Cricket.

From the Long time we seen old faces in Pakistan Cricket even they are not performing well but still they are part of Pakistan team whatever because of some of their relatives appointed on big post in PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) or they have some political connection. Pakistan Cricket are going down and down due to bad policies of PCB, they facing controversies, allegations, no International matches happened after the Sri Lankan cricketers came under attack in Lahore in 2009.

Even some time we witness PCB not considering new talent in Cricket team or they are wasting talent on Pakistan Cricket. They are not allow to participate these players in Pakistani Team however these crickets are playing club crickets of county cricket in England and other countries of the world not only they played they are performing well also.

Azhar Mahmood (Age 35, Currently Playing for Kent).

Role. Al-Rounder

Batting Style: Right handed

Bowling Style: Right Arm Fast medium.

Last Match: 17^th March 2007 v/s Ireland (ODI)

Azhar made his One-Day International debut against India in 1996. He joined the Pakistani team primarily as a medium pacer but he has surprised many by his batting prowess. His hard hitting but orthodox batting skills have also been extremely useful in the one-day game. Unlike most Pakistani pacers who are swing bowlers, he is a useful English-style seam bowler, who can chip in with wickets in time of need.

Azhar has played county cricket for Surrey and in November 2007 signed a two year deal to play for Kent.

Recently he has received British citizenship, thus allowing him to play for Kent as an English-qualified player.

Recently he came to Pakistan for playing RBS T20 & Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and he even performed good but surprisingly PCB unable to see his performance and didn’t select him for S.A & Newzeland Tour.

Saqlain Mustaq (Age 34, Currently Spin bowling coach of Somerset County Cricket Club).

Role. Spin Bowler

Batting Style: Right handed Batsman

Bowling Style: Right arm Off-break

Last Match : 1 April 2004 v India (Test)

Saqlain made his international debut in September 1995 playing against Sri Lanka at Peshawar. He picked up four wickets at an average of 26.75 in the first test of the series. The highlight of his Test career came in the away series against India in January/February 1999, where he achieved his first ten wicket haul in a test match. In the first test, with India needing only 17 runs to win, Saqlain effectively sealed Pakistan's win by taking the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar who had scored 136. He ended the series with excellent figures, taking twenty wickets at an average of 20.15, which earned him the Man of the Series award.

Saqlain is credited with the invention of the "doosra", an off-spinner's delivery which is bowled with an action very similar to that of an off-break. However, it spins in the opposite direction (i.e. from the leg side to the off side), easily confusing batsmen, making it a very effective weapon. Saqlain became well-known for this variation ball, which was integral to his success,

His other variation was the arm-ball, which again uses a similar action to the off-break, but causes the ball to go straight on without turning.

During his time at Surrey, Saqlain worked on developing new deliveries which he calls the "teesra" and the "chotha". However little else is known about these deliveries.

Saqlain signed up to play for Lahore Badshahs in the Indian Cricket League during which in a match against the Chennai Superstars he introduced what is known in South Asia as 'jalebi' and in the rest of the world as the 'teesra'. The delivery in when and off-spinner grips the bowl like he normally does, he bowls the deliver and it looks like it's going to spin a mile but it doesn't spin at all. This makes the batsman more confused as they will become puzzled in which to think will the ball spin or not. It is just like a leg-spinner when they bowl a Flipper. The name teesra came because Saqlain had already invented the doosra which means the other one and that the teesra means the third one. The name Jalebi was used initially by commentators during the ICL and know it has became widespread.

Asim Kamal (Age 31, Currently playing for Karachi).

Role: Middle order batsman.

Batting Style:  Left-Hand Bat

 

A gritty left handed middle order batsman who has been a firm favourite with Pakistani fans but not the selectors. Not exactly eye catching but nonetheless very effective. A very fine driver of the ball who represented Pakistan in 12 tests and averaged just over 37.

Perhaps the fact that Asim failed to score a century in any of his 20 test innings counted against him. On debut against South Africa he made 99 and showed what an excellent temperament he had. Asim showed time and again what a good player he was batting with the tail enders but sadly he has been out of favour since 2005 and these days struggles to even make his domestic team of Habib Bank.

Sadly harshly treated by the selectors and now another player lost to the wilderness.

Anwar Ali (Age 23 Currently Playing for Karachi Blues) .

Batting Style: Right-hand bat

Bowling Style: Right-arm medium-fast

Anwar Ali is a fast bowler out of the typical Pakistani cricket player, having great ability to of swinging the ball, both old and new, in a unique way. He wondered the world with his a brief glimpse of his talents with a destructive display in the 2006 Under-19 World Cup final against India, in Colombo, He took five wickets including Rohit Sharma with an in-swinger that bowled him. He also took the wicket of Ravinder Jadeja. Amazingly both of these players are currently playing the Indian Premier League. His early efforts in first-class cricket also brought some success and not only with the ball as an unbeaten century showed that he is more than able to contribute down the order. He was pushed a closer to a full international opportunity shortly after his 20th birthday (belated compared to some Pakistan players) when he was named in a training squad ahead of the one-day series against Zimbabwe early in 2008. An impressive tour of Zimbabwe and Kenya with the Academy team - he took 29 wickets at 16.31.

Danish Kaneria (Age30 Currently playing for Habib Bank) .

Batting Style: Right-hand bat

Bowling Style: Leg-Spinner 

Danish Kaneria has matured into one of world cricket’s leading bowlers and is already emulating Pakistani leg-spinning predecessors Abdul Qadir and Mushtaq Ahmed as one of the most potent bowlers of his era, among the twirlers. Although he initially made his mark by destroying Bangladesh (12 for 94 at Multan in 2001), he has also led victories against South Africa, India and the West Indies. He especially came of age with 19 wickets in the drawn three-match series in India in 2005; impressing with his stamina to bowl long spells in draining conditions and also with his variety – his googly regularly deceived Indian batsmen accustomed to hitting spinners out of the attack.

Kaneria, only the second Hindu to play for Pakistan, has many admirable traits, many necessary to make a good legspinner. His height purchases good bounce - though not always flight - and he can turn the ball significantly. Though the googly is overexposed, Richie Benaud once reckoned it to be among the best-disguised he had seen. Above all he has perseverance, and right or wrong, has served often as shock and stock bowler.

But something has been missing, the unknown that makes great leggies great. It is not so much in the tools, but in the persona and a peculiar lack of guile, especially if he is to be compared to countrymen such as Abdul Qadir and Mushtaq Ahmed; both had a wonderful presence. In turn he has also lacked a good captain, or always good supporting bowlers at the other end. Latterly he has suffered the lack of even an able wicketkeeper.

He has been an ever-present in the Test side since 2004 and his best period was in the years that followed immediately; critical spells came around the world, against Sri Lanka, England and West Indies and lionhearted ones against Australia and India. But he hasn't kicked on since. Often he will turn an innings, bowling as brightly as Pakistan has always hoped. But mostly he is a reliable run-controller and his strike rate has expanded alarmingly over the years. Tellingly, perhaps, he hasn't been part of Pakistan's limited-overs thinking at all for years. 

Hasan Raza Age 28 Currently Playing for Habib Bank (As Captain)

Batting Style: Right hand Bat

Bowling Style: Right arm off-break.

The dozen years of his stay in the Pakistani test, ODI and first class cricket have been perplexing to say the least. On one hand the boy was considered good enough to play test cricket for Pakistan at the tender age of 14 or 15 (his actual birthday isn’t confirmed) and with out any first class experience yet the same boy (now a man) wasn’t considered good enough for the Pakistani team despite scoring 10,000+ runs in domestic cricket.

On October 24 1996 when this Karachi boy made his test debut against Zimbabwe at Faisalabad he was one of the youngest if not the youngest cricketer to ever play international cricket. In his first innings he seem fairly competent yet was dropped after just one test but two years later he was picked against the same team and once again he played a solitary test before being dropped. Four years later he once again came back to the Pakistani team and this time he looked like the real deal as he was the only Pakistani batsman to show any signs of resistance against the rampant Aussies and ended up scoring two half centuries in the same game.. Raza’s last test match was against England in 2005 where he failed to perform and once again was dropped after one game Only.

Being discontent with the PCB and his lack of chances in the Pakistan Team, Raza joined the “rebel” ICL and was banned from first class cricket. In the first season he played for the Lahore Badshahs and had a fairly decent tournament which included a brilliant 98* which was the highest score by any ICL player at the time. In the next season he played for the Mumbai Champs but his performance wasn’t as good as it was with the Baadshahs. Hasan Raza eventually joined a list of others and broke ties with the rebel league. Having recently returned to the PCB setup Hasan Raza will be hoping he can continue with his highly illustrious first class career and perhaps get another chance to play for Pakistan.
